Today was a big day for Andy and I. We became godparents to our new nephew, Jared Lee Friedmann. It was a wonderful spring day and was very nice to have most of Andy's family all together. We all joined together after church for lunch at Pat and Amber's house.

More Scrapbooking for the Evening

The past week or so have been quite busy and I seem to have neglected my blog! I have been doing a bit more scrapping and would like to share the pages I put together tonight.

This weekend, we are spending in Ankeny. Austin and my nephew Tyler are playing in a 6th grade football tournament. They played at 1pm today and played an Ankeny team. They didn't do too bad, but didn't win either! The score was 19 to 8. Hoping tomorrow goes a bit better. We play Marshalltown at 1pm tomorrow afternoon. Wish us luck!

Digi Chicks Weekend Retreat

I've spent this whole weekend near Clear Lake at a Digital Scrapbooking Retreat. It's been a wonderful time with lots of friends, great food, and of course learning! I've decided to share one of the pages I've been working on this evening. I put my pages together as a double page spread and my scrapbooks are all 12 x 12 pages. I feel like I'm actually getting something done! No kids, no cooking, and plenty of time to work on what I like to do!

Apple Orchard Trip

Last Sunday afternoon, we went to the Community orchard near Fort Dodge. The kids were ready for an outing and we went with some friends. They had a great time feeding the goats, riding the pumpkin cruiser, and picking out their pumpkins! It was a chilly day and after an hour and a half, everyone was cold enough that they were ready to go home.
